CRESCENT CITY A proposal for a prime time animated series taking place in NEW ORLEANS by Bunny Matthews This prime time animated series is a fish-out-of-water story about a Connecticut family that moves to New Orleans to care for their eccentric, feeble grandfather. As if raising a family isn't hard enough, Wright Williams, a straight-laced, conservative professor of architecture, must now deal with the libertine excesses and strange customs of a city that is as foreign as you can get without moving to another country. You could think of this show as sort of KING OF THE HILL meets NORTHERN EXPOSURE -- an uptight father frets over moving his family to a strange, Southern city. SOUTHERN EXPOSURE, so to speak. And just as KING OF THE HILL is less about Texas as it is about a father trying to cope with the universal problems of raising a family, our show will be driven by similar, relatable stories.
